While Bristol Mills, Maine could be done as a very-long day trip from The Andovers, I had the luxury recently of spending the weekend there. A group of long-time friends enjoyed a relaxing getaway at the exquisite home of a friend. Our friend — a Massachusetts transplant, retired from a Boston publisher, sold her Melrose home and moved north with her artist husband a few years ago.
It’s a growing trend in the over-fifty population in Massachusetts — moving north. And in my real estate life, I am in the process of getting my New Hampshire and Maine licenses for that very reason. I hope to do a follow-up post with my friend on her experience making this move in the future.
