Shop & Dine Main Street & Super Yacht Video
Well-known for the Falmouth Road Race & Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, this post gives you a peek into some Main Street shops & eateries.
Falmouth is my favorite place to visit on Cape Cod. And it’s possible to do as a day trip from The Andovers. Especially in the fall when traffic is lighter. (Attention Moms: Andover resident Gillian Baudreau is hosting a Mama’s Timeout Event in Falmouth this month.)
In just two hours you can be parked on Main Street, checking out the many shops (I only cover a few in this post). Once you’ve worked up an appetite, stop into one of the restaurants mentioned in this post.
Be sure to read to the end to check out the super yacht Hilarium entering Falmouth Harbor!
Authentic Italian — Osteria La Civetta
Authentic Italian food from Bologna is always on the menu at Osteria La Civetta. Chef Fabio Pozzati embraces the Italian culinary philosophy that less is usually more. Expect simple, unpretentious dishes that allow each component to shine. Pasta is made by hand daily with imported flour and organic free-range eggs. The Italian-based menu incorporates fresh and locally source produce, meat, and seafood.
Modern Greek Cuisine — Estia
Right next to Osteria La Civetta is relative newcomer Estia. Snag a seat on the front deck. Start with wine and an amazing spread, like tzatzki and avocado feta, served with warm pita. Then people watch as you peruse the extensive menu. Choose from gyros, pita wraps, kabobs, and other Greek specialties. As well as their crowd-pleasing coal-fired pizzas, and burgers, seafood, steaks and chops.
